This week, the PACK EXPO East tradeshow kicks off in Philadelphia.
PACK EXPO East is a relatively new event in the packaging and labeling industry. In 2015, the Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies (PMMI) organized the first PACK EXPO East. In the two years since its inception, the event has grown to include over 400 exhibitors and over 7,000 attendees.

And while PACK EXPO East is not the largest packaging and labeling trade show, the growth of this regional event reflects important trends and changes in the industry, specifically, that packaging and labeling are some of the fastest growing sectors of the print market.
According to a recent Printing Industries of America report, “Packaging industry application in the market is expected to witness the fastest growth at a CAGR of over 12 percent from 2016 to 2024. Growing demand for low migration UV-cured inks in food and beverage as well as other consumer goods packaging is likely to augment growth over the projected period.”
