The Path To 100 Days

By: Sunil Gupta, Chief Executive Officer at Memjet

“Unprecedented.” That word keeps coming up to describe the collective health and economic challenges the world is facing.

While these events have been challenging, I believe that it is not what happens in our lives that defines us; it’s how we respond.

In that spirit of perseverance and optimism, I prepared this update within my first 100 days as CEO of Memjet.

COVID-19 Drives Innovation

The pandemic is a story with an uncertain ending. It will undoubtedly change the way we live and work and the manner in which we interact with one another. These changes will impact the printing industry. More than ever, Printers will need access to fast, affordable printing solutions with the features required to succeed in these new times.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic, Memjet has focused on ensuring operational and supply chain efficiencies to enable our OEM customers to deliver on new market needs.

Additionally, as people across the globe were asked to shelter in place, we accelerated the development of a new client services program called Memjet Cloud Services. The program enables us to provide remote support for installation, training, and diagnostics. Our Cloud Services program supports the installation of large, complex print solutions in the midst of these challenging restrictions and conditions.

This process ensures higher productivity and uptime for our customers and we expect it to continue to play a vital role in our business moving forward.

Our current module component offerings maximize our existing engineering services to drive continued fast development and commercialization.  We’re also providing marketing and sales support to keep pipelines flowing so OEM partners are ready to respond as the economy recovers.

These collective efforts support our OEMs and the industry so we can stay the course to deliver the most innovative and disruptive printing solutions this year and beyond.

Keep an eye out for the fall eventsin whatever form they taketo see new Powered by Memjet solutions.

A Legacy Lives On

When Len Lauer unexpectedly passed away in April, our global Memjet family lost a friend, a mentor, and a leader.

I was fortunate to have known Len for a long time and worked closely with him when I joined Memjet’s Board of Directors in 2019. His leadership legacy lives on in the people, processes, and culture he developed during his tenure, and will continue to be a part of Memjet in the years to come.

I know that is what Len would have wanted.

The Memjet team has been a great support to me, and I am grateful to each of them as I learn and grow in this role. I am humbled and privileged to be the CEO of Memjet and appreciate the trust and confidence the board has placed in me.
